What is wrong with Weka 3.93

Alim Samat
Dear All,
Weka Software is working well in last week, I did not do any change, now It is not working, even after reinstalled. What is wrong with it?
The following are the error message,
[WekaPackageManager] scriptingClassifiers can't be loaded because the following packages are missing:
kfGroovy (>=1.0.13)
Did not find variable JAVA_HOME in Java cache or process environment.
Setting JAVA_HOME to C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_181
Did not find variable R_HOME in Java cache or process environment.
Could not find system-wide install location for R in Registry.

bests,

Alim·Samat

Re: What is wrong with Weka 3.93

Mark Hall

You say that Weka is not working – does it fail to load and show the GUI? The output below is just stating that there is a missing dependency for the scriptingClassifiers package (so, it can’t be loaded). The rest is output with respect to the RPlugin package, which is telling you that R is probably not installed on your system.

Cheers,

Mark.

Dear Mark,
Thank you very much, any suggestion for  accelerating the speed of R algorithms in Weka? thanks again.

Eibe Frank-3
The R algorithms themselves are run by R. The RPlugin just moves data in and out of R. So, in terms of speeding up the algorithms, you will need to look at the mechanisms R provides for this. If the algorithm relies on linear algebra, you might be able to get a speed up by compiling a tuned version of OpenBLAS and getting R to use that, for example.

Cheers,
Eibe
