RealAdaBoost

Edward Wiskers
Hi all,

I'm wondering that how "RealAdaBoost" with J48 (as a base classifier) is able to reduce classification errors? Is this because of the best-first method or not?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Best,

Edward

No, it is a boosting approach.

For more information, see

J. Friedman, T. Hastie, R. Tibshirani (2000). Additive Logistic Regression: a Statistical View of Boosting. Annals of Statistics. 95(2):337-407.

Cheers,
Eibe
